HOT ROLLED STEEL

Hot rolled steel is a type of steel that is formed using the hot rolling process at a temperature above its recrystallization temperature - over 1,700˚F, which is above the re-crystallization temperature for most steels. This makes the steel easier to form, and resulting in products that are easier to work with.

HOT ROLLED PICKLED & OILED

Hot rolled pickled & oiled, also known as HRPO or HRP&O, steel is produced when hot rolled steel is immersed in an acid bath to remove the scale, a process known as pickling. After the pickling is complete, a layer of oil is applied to the steel’s surface to prevent rust formation or oxidization.
